What Renew stores

The items you track (names, categories, expiry dates, notes) and anything you attach — a scanned photo or PDF — are saved using Apple's on-device storage (SwiftData), inside your device's protected storage. That's it. There is no company server, no database, and no cloud account behind Renew.

What Renew does not do

• No account or sign-in of any kind
• No analytics, tracking, or advertising identifiers
• No data ever sent over the network to us or anyone else
• No third-party SDKs with access to your information

If you never connect Renew to iCloud sync (a Premium, opt-in feature), nothing about your data ever leaves your device, full stop.

iCloud Sync (optional, Premium)

If you turn this on, your items sync between your own devices through your own private iCloud account, using Apple's CloudKit. It is end-to-end within Apple's infrastructure for your account only — we have no access to it, no visibility into it, and no copy of it. It's off by default.

Permissions Renew asks for

Camera access is used only to scan a document on-screen so its expiry date can be read — no photo is uploaded anywhere. Calendar access, if granted, is write-only, used solely to add a renewal reminder you asked for; Renew cannot read your existing calendar.

In-App Purchases

Purchases and subscriptions are processed entirely by Apple through StoreKit. Renew never sees your payment information — only Apple does, under Apple's own privacy policy.

Children & changes to this policy

Renew is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect information from anyone, of any age — because it doesn't collect information at all. If this policy ever changes, the update will appear on this same page with a new date above.
